Carolina Masters Crew Club Shines At Head Of Hooch

Carolina Masters Rowing of Chapel Hill had a strong season as a team in 2017, capped by multiple medals at the Head of the Hooch in Tennessee.

Here’s a report with club’s top finishers:

First place Mixed Masters 2x (2 person boat), Kathryn Kyle and Rob Kyle. Second place Women’s Masters 4+ (U50), Keara McLean (coxswain), Liz Jenista, Kath­ryn Kyle, Stacy Rexrode, Nicole Wiley.

Second place, Women’s Masters 1x (1 person boat) ages 43-54, Kathryn Kyle.

Third place, Women’s Masters 8+ (U50), Keara McLean (cox), Liz Jenista, Chelsea Neh­ler, Stacy Rexrode, Nicole Wiley, Samantha Fix, Rachel Brady, Kathy Burkhardt, Nina Mc­Phaul.

Teammates racing on other boats: First place, Men’s Masters 2x, Yuri Fedoriw in a composite boat; Third place, Men’s Open 4x Yuri Fedoriw in composite boat and Women’s Lightweight 1x Tara Walhart.
