Orange Medalists At State Sr. Finals

Orange County seniors piled up medals in a variety of sports at the N.C. Senior Games State Finals in Raleigh. Competition was by age group for men/women 50+.

Orange County Jammers was first cheerleader medium group. Members were Lillie Burnette, Elaine Clark, Patricia Farrington, Teresa Fearrington, Clem Self, Maryann Toome, Thomas Watson.

Chuck Friend was part of Double Nickels, third place team in M60+; James Breeden was part of Never Too Late, second M65+; Blaine Butterworth was part of Port City Pir­ates, third M65+. It’s 3v3 cross court basketball.

Orange County M75+ was second. Team members were John Aluise, Thomas Bond, Clarence Neal, Gene Perkins, William Poteat, Sherman Richardson, Maynard Sherman, Douglas Steele, Ken White, Twig Wiggins.
