Triforce Wins Boys Youth Ultimate Title

Triforce, a Triangle team from Raleigh/ Durham/Chapel Hill, went undefeated to win the U.S. Ultimate Open Club Boys U19 Cham­pionship in Blaine, MN (30 teams), defeating Buda of Boston 15-14 in the finals. Triforce leaders were Peter Barry (9 goals) and Liam Searles-Bohs (9 assists).

Triforce was the #1 seed, went 3-0 in pool play, defeated #13 Foggy Bottom Boys of Wash­ington, DC, 12-9 in quarters and # 2 Devyl of Westfield, NJ, 15-12 in semis before meeting #6 Buda.

Carolina Sky Boys of the Triangle went 5-2 overall and finished 21 by beating Minn. Su­perior 2 15-8. Carolina was the #17 seed, went 3-0 in pool play, lost two matches and then won three straight. Leaders were Makil Guruparan and Paul James (4 goals each) and Joshua Krause (9 assists).
