UNC Hockey Struggles In Oct.

The UNC hockey club went 1-4 in Octo­ber after taking second in Sapikowski Tour­nament including a 4-3 shootout win over Georgetown at Stephen Russell Tournament in Raleigh, hosted by N.C. State.

UNC had goals from Ben Sisemore (game-winner), Ricky Chen, Andrew Jordan, Ben Millar. The win was sandwiched between a 5-2 loss (goals by Mason Regan, Justin Magin) to St. Joseph’s and a 4-1 loss to Virginia (Chen). James Madison repeated as tournament winner.

UNC fell 5-3 (goals by Chen, Jonah Graf­fius, Millar) to Charlotte in Hillsborough league game despite leading 3-1 after two.
In a road game, UNC lost 5-2 at Wake For­est, with goals by Graffius and Chen. Wake had 7 penalties, UNC none.

UNC was 3-7 for fall season through October and 1-3 in ACCHL, scoring 25 goals, allowing 48.
