Wildlife Deck

The Wildlife Observation Deck (AKA Bald Eagle Deck) off Martha’s Chapel Road is one of the most popular visitor destinations on the lake for birders and walkers. Best times for wildlife viewing are early morning and dusk.

The deck, .6 mile east of Farrington Road (SR 1008) intersection, has about 1.5 miles of short lakeside trails, benches, information kiosk with trail maps beside the parking lot.

The deck was built by volunteers in 2009 on Corps of Engineers property.
