Six area high schools showed out in the final Wells Fargo sports points standings for 25-26 school year.
The NCHSAA pointed out that local education agencies’ (school systems) collective excellence was realized most uniquely by Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools (CHCCS) and Union County Public Schools (UCPS). Each NCHSAA member school from CHCCS —Chapel Hill (7A), East Chapel Hill (6A) and Carrboro (4A)—finished among its state classification’s top five.
Here are the 25-26 final standings by division:
7A—Chapel Hill, 425 points, fifth. Winner had 875.
6A—East Chapel Hill, 515, third. Winner had 655.
5A—Seaforth (Chatham), 467.5, second, and Orange, 375, fifth. Winner had 580.
4A—Carrboro, 565, third. Winner had 697.5.
3A—Northwood (Chatham), 427.5, fourth. Winner had 825.
