Men’s NCAA basketball Tournament first and second round games will be played in Ral­eigh in March 2025, Greenville, S.C., March 2026, Charlotte (Spectrum Center) March 2027, with the East Regional (Sweet 16) at Lenovo Center, Raleigh, March 2028. Tickets are on sale now for March 21/23 games next year in Raleigh. There are two sessions Friday, one Sunday.

Three former UNC players are on new NBA teams: Harrison Barnes was traded to San Antonio, Nassir Little is in Miami and Leaky Black Washington.

Former UNC players Cormac Ryan signed with Oklahoma City, Armando Bacot, Mem­phis, Harrison Ingram, San Antonio.

Three former UNC players, Tony Brad­ley, Theo Pinson, Justin Jackson, are on the Texas Legends of the NBA G League.

The UNC Blue/White scrimmage was moved from Cherokee to the Smith Center due to conditions in WNC after Hurricane Hel­ene. Coach Hubert Davis said the team will return to Cherokee when conditions are better. Proceeds from ticket sales ($10/person, general admission) were donated to Hur­ricane relief efforts in WNC. Students were admitted for free with UNC basketball covering the cost and donating it to recovery efforts.

Charlotte Hornets, with three Duke alums on the roster, held a four-day training camp at Duke’s K Center in Durham. It was their first non-Charlotte camp since they trained in Cha­pel Hill in 2019.
