UNC’s David Ford, the No. 1-ranked player in the nation, birdied the first extra hole to win the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational in a playoff at Forest Hills Golf Club in Augusta, Ga.
The Haskins is Ford’s fourth title of the season, a school record, and the sixth of his career, which ties him for the second-most in Carolina history. He joins Dane Huddleston of Utah Valley and Justin LaRue of Longwood as the only players to win four tournaments this season.
