RGA Gets Upgrade Under McConnell

Raleigh’s oldest golf course, RGA (Raleigh Golf Association), will get a major upgrade.

After signing a 20-year management contract with Raleigh-based McConnell Golf, they’ll invest $3.5M to renovate the Raleigh Golf Association course including a new irrigation system and driving range. The course will go from 27 to 18 holes when nearby RGA property is rezoned and sold for development.

The course was founded in 1929 and remains one of the best values in Raleigh, McConnell said ($39 weekdays, $42 Friday, $49 Sat/Sun/holidays).
