Old Chatham Golf Club, Durham, moved up one spot to ninth on the N.C. Golf Panel’s Top 100 Golf Courses for 2025. Old Chatham was the highest local course in the 30th annual ranking. This is the first listing since Hurricane Helene flooded WNC last fall. Here are the top ten:

Only one major change from last year occurred in the Top Ten. Mountaintop Golf & Lake Club, Cashiers, fell from 7 to 13. Quail Hollow Club, Charlotte, moved one spot (4) ahead of Pine Needles, Southern Pines (5).
