Luke Lesher (18:50) of Raleigh was the leader at 18th Eve Carson Memorial 5K for Education in Chapel Hill (260 finishers). The race, which normally happens in the fall and features performance by Clef Hangers at the start, had top finishers from six different N.C. hometowns.
Henry McLaughlin (18:52) of Durham was second and Isaac Bosman (19:23) of Chapel Hill third. Women’s winner was Jill Konkol (28:15) of Lenoir, with Megan Smith (30:22) of Zebulon second and Hailey Hackett (29:29) of Cary third.
