1A—#1Woods Charter d. #8 Central Carolina Academy 9-0, #4 Vance Charter 7-1, #2 Falls Lake Academy 4-0 in regionals over two days, #1 Summit Charter 3-0 for the championship in Durham behind three goals from MVP Lucy Poitras. Halftime was 1-0. Woods completed an undefeated season (22-0) for their first title. They’ve made the finals four times in five years.
4A—#1 Carrboro d. #17 SW Randolph 9-0, #9 Clinton 8-0, #4 Ledford 3-1 in regionals and Hibriten 1-0 for the state championship in Durham. Amaliie Reyes scored the game-winner in the 11th minute on an assist by MVP Ali Stuntebeck. The Jaguars finished 22-1-3 after losing the season opener, claiming their sixth title (2012, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019), and allowing only two shots by Hibriten.
7A—#20 Cleveland d. #13 Chapel Hill 3-1.
6A—#6 East Chapel Hill d. #11 Gray’s Creek 2-0, lost 2-1 to #3 Union Pines.
5A—#17 Cedar Ridge d. #16 Orange 3-0, lost 4-0 to #1 Western Alamance. #9 Seaforth d. #24 S. Granville 9-0, lost 2-0 to #8 Croatan.
