Watch Parties for the Carolina Hurricane Stanley Cup road games will be held at the Lenovo Center, the team’s home arena, in Raleigh (and most every tavern in the region). Parking is free. Event cost is $10/person, tickets required, with proceeds to Carolina Hurricane Foundation.

Chatham County celebrates America 250 Saturday, June 27, 10-2 indoors at the Chat­ham Ag Center on US 64W with music, performances, food trucks, activities for kids. Free.

Alliance for Historic Hillsborough has two Revolutionary Era Walking Tours on July 4, starting at the Visitor Center downtown, 10-12 and 2-4 p.m. Tickets are $20 plus tax at  zeffy.com.

Barbie Game Day. Carolina Blaze plays Utah Talons July 27 at Durham Bulls Athletic Park at 2 p.m. It’s the last of a three-game set with Utah at DBAP in AUSL (softball) and part of a signature series. Fan Fest starts at 12 noon. Other game dates are July 25-26.

Ayers Saint Gross of Baltimore is the leading candidate to design the Carolina North satellite campus. They’ve done work for Emory, Rice, Ohio State and the National Aquarium, and will negotiate fees with UNC to design the former Horace Williams Airport property (230 acres) near MLK Blvd. and Estes intersection for the new campus. If UNC doesn’t agree on fees, they could move on to another firm, the N&O reported. A basketball arena is no longer part of the project.
