Hill Leads Age Groupers

Alex Hill, age 19, of Hillsborough had the best time (1:06:29) for age groupers at Triangle Sprint Triathlon, New Hill (248 finishers, up from 226 in 2025). Hill was first 16-19.

Chapel Hill award winners: Mac Warwick, second 25-29, 1:29:04; Will Arnold, second 35-39, 1:26:39; Terence Costello, first 45-49, 1:12:49; Leroy Brace, Mebane, second 60-64, 1:32:34; Reilly Jermyn, Hillsborough, first 16-19, 1:21:36; Ashley Arey, second 40-44, 1:37:06; Kristen Stolka, Carrboro, second 45-49, 1;32:38; Elizabeth Skiba, first 50-54, 1:23:31.

Allison Lo Piccolo, Pittsboro, was second female in advanced division (12), 1:14:38. WTs were 1:06:20 and 1:12:16.

Distances were 750m swim, 15.7m bike, 5K run.

SN will make some format changes for the next edition in July to reduce the editor’s workload. The paper will continue with a monthly feature (like Way Too Early ACC Hoops next month), road and bike race results, local league updates and rec news. The idea is to reduce the number of pages and the amount of content so he can take some time off and travel. Many of CSN’s former writers have already retired.
