Top-seeded Purple downed #2 Orange 15-10 to win the Carrboro spring ultimate championship. Purple beat White 15-11 and Orange defeated Kelly 15-10 in the semis. White topped Kelly 15-8 in the consolation.
Purple and Orange both were 7-5 in the regular season.
Purple team rep Andrew Boyer said team MVPs were Christine Brookout, offense, and Chris Denis, defense.
He explained why. Christine was the field captain, called the offensive set, always wide open to get the disc whenever we needed a reset. Chris was always willing to cover a top player, communicated well, forced so many turnovers defending long throws to the endzone.
