Speakeasy Spirits piled up six runs in the fourth for 13-8 lead and overwhelmed Cheetahs 18-12 to win the spring Carrboro co-rec softball tournament championship. James Dewith’s double, Anthony Costilliana’s triple and singles keyed the big inning. Dewith had five hits with a HR and three runs scored for the game.
Jonathan Mazarek hit two homers. It was a “player friendly” scoresheet with no errors recorded. For Cheetahs, Dawson Naccarito had four hits with HR, m and Joshua Oakley two triples.
Speakeasy (9-3) won the regular season, with Street Walkin Cheetahs (8-4) second.
