Buckhorn Game Land, 460 acres (OWASA mitigation property) in western Orange County near Cane Creek, is a permit-only hunting area for deer. Last season eight were taken there. It’s archery-only.
Aug. 10 was the deadline for Sep/Oct 26 permits (4 dates each month), Sep. 1 for selecting Nov (4 dates), and Oct. 1 for Dec (4 dates). Cost is $8.00 for each permit. Check the Permit Hunt Book online for more information.
