Whether you get your oysters by the dozen, peck or bushel, be sure to recycle the oyster shells. In North Carolina, it’s illegal to send oyster shells to the landfill or use them as mulch in landscaping. Take them to the Orange County county collection center on Eubanks Road, Chapel Hill.
