Bank fishing spots at Jordan are limited, especially at high water, but include Bell’s Church, the ADA accessible, lighted public fishing pier on Farrington Road (SR 1008) in Apex with LED fish attractor lights for night fishing. The T-shaped pier extends 139 feet into the lake and is 80 feet across, It’s about 1.2 miles north of U.S. 64 and is marked by a brown NC Wildlife Resources sign.
Others are Rock Quarry, off Big Woods Road on the Pittsboro side of the lake; Beaver Creek, off SR 1008 (Beaver Creek Road just past Pea Ridge Road intersection) on Apex side of the lake; tailrace area (Poe’s Ridge) below Jordan Dam at Moncure.
