The seventh Cosmic Rays Film Festival featuring short films by N.C. filmmakers and others will be held March 21-23 at Chelsea Theater, Chapel Hill. Showings are 7 and 9 Fri/Sat, 1 on Sunday. Tickets available at the boxoffice.

Haw River Assembly is taking part in a World Water Day program Saturday, March 22, 1-4 p.m. at Martin Luther King Jr. Park on Hillsborough Rd., Carrboro.The theme is “Save Our Glaciers” and is free and open to all. There will be musical artists, hands-on water activities, crafts and speakers including Lisa Sorg, NC reporter for Inside Climate News, Jason Torian from Blue Ridge Environmental Defense League.

Rescheduled ribbon cutting ceremony and tours of Drakeford Library Complex, Carrboro, will be Friday, March 21, at 11 a.m. Library is open daily, Mon-Thu 10-7, Fri/Sat 9-6, Sun 12-6.

Recycle your old electronics—small items like cell phones, chargers, small appliances only—Saturday, March 22, 1-4 p.m. at Carrboro High School. Free. No TVs, big stuff.

Family day for all ages at Orange Co. Sportsplex, Hills­borough, will be Saturday, April 5, 1-4 p.m. with free swimming, ice skating, games, facility tours, food truck.
