Durham Voters Consider Rec Bonds

On Election Day, Durham city voters will act on two bond measures totaling $200M for streets and sidewalks and parks. The recreation package is $85M—and focuses on East Durham—$42M for upgrades to Long Meadow and East End Park and $43M for a new aquatic center (water park) beside the Wheels Roller Skating Rink in Merrick Moore Park.

Streets and sidewalk bonds account for $115M. They are voted on separately.

In Wake County, voters will consider $142M in bonds for public libraries.
