Carrboro’s 19th West End Poetry Festival will be held Oct. 17-19 downtown. Here’s the schedule; Thursday at Luna, Friday at ArtsCenter, Saturday at Century Center until 7:30, Steel String Brewery at 8. Admission is free.
Taste of China, food and culture, will be held Saturday, Oct. 26, 11-5 on S. Academy St., Cary.
Vampire Movie Weekends are planned at Chelsea Theater, Chapel Hill, through Nov. 4 with Friday and Saturday night shows at 10 p.m.
One Wave, a community get out the vote rally, takes place Friday, Nov. 1, 5-10 p.m. at Durham Central Park downtown. It’s free. There will be voter info, booths for non-profit groups, food trucks, music, kids activities.
