Construction is underway (Feb25-spring 2026) on the $30M Duke Gardens Gateway, the new entrance, visitor center, cafe in Durham. Meanwhile, the gardens are open 8 a.m. to dusk daily. The N.C. Botanical Garden, Chapel Hill, is holding daily native plant sales starting 3/18 in the pavilion outside the garden shop. The big spring plant sale is May 3. Garden hours are Tuesday-Sunday 9-5, closed Monday.
Wake Up the Garden will be held April 5 10-11 a.m. at Kudzu Children’s Museum, 1712 Willow Dr., Chapel Hill.
Raulston Blooms takes place April 26, 10-3, at JC Raulston Arboretum, Raleigh. Fees are charged.
