Natural Grass Field, 6 Home FB Games

The Bill Belichick era begins at Kenan Sta­dium on Labor Day, Sep. 1, when UNC hosts TCU at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN in the season opener.

The field at Kenan returns to natural grass with synthetic turf perimeter. The 12-week project by Carolina Green of Indian Trail to convert the field courtesy of the Rams Club is under way. They’re the firm that twice brought in natural grass for summer international soccer exhibitions.

The remainder of the schedule with home games all caps and two Friday road dates:

Sep. 6, at Charlotte; 13, RICHMOND; 20, at UCF, Orlando.

Oct. 4, CLEMSON; Thu/Fri, 16/17, at Cal­i­fornia; 25, VIRGINIA, Fri, 31, at Syracuse.

Nov. 8, STANFORD; 15, at Wake Forest; 22, DUKE; 29, at N.C. State.

Dates for spring practice and the Blue/ White game will be  announced later.

According to Athlon Sports, Virginia, Wake Forest, North Carolina have the easiest ACC schedules and Syracuse, Florida State, Clemson the hardest.
