NCAA officials are considering two expansion models for March Madness, growing by four or eight at-large teams in 2025-26 at the earliest, but broadcast networks haven’t been involved in discussions.

About a dozen former college basketball players joined in a lawsuit against the NCCA, six conferences including the ACC and Turner Interactive for unauthorized NIL use in ads promoting March Madness. Earlier, ten members of the 1983 NCAA men’s champion N.C. State team sued the NCAA for using NIL without their permission or providing com­pensation.
