After some uncertainty, the Tampa Bay Rays now support a $55.7 million city plan to repair hurricane-shredded Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg in time for the 2026 season opener, while the team prepares to play this year at Steinbrenner Field, the New York Yankees’ spring training home in nearby Tampa.
The Durham Bulls are the Triple A affiliate of the Rays and were briefly mentioned as a possible place for the Rays to play this season.
