Laura Lamberger (1:41:57) of Chapel Hill was first 50-54 at Greensboro HM (512 finishers). WT was 1:23:09.

Three award winners at the Holly Springs 10K (146 finishers). Sydney Batey of Pittsboro was second 13-19, 54:33, and Heather Batey, third, 1:05:22, with Valerie Murrah of Chapel Hill first 70+, 1:34:35.

Katrina Nunez (1:38:11) of Chapel Hill was first 19-24 at Battleship HM in Wilmington (1,047 finishers, up from 962 in 2023). WT was 1:24:25. Cassidy Sexton was first 18&U, 51:41, in the 5K (371). WT was 17:03.

Jeff Folger of Pittsboro was first 50-59, 25:26, at Viking Dash 5K (57 finishers) in New Hill. WT was 20:52.

Molly Berkoff of Chapel Hill was third 50-59, 30:19, at Jingle Bell Run 5K Raleigh (312 finishers). WT was 22:14.

Running Calendar

The Running in the Triangle 2025 calendar costs $12 plus tax and lists hundreds of  running events, sunrise/sunset times and info on 40 regional run clubs. Copies are available at local running shops. Unpaid volunteers compiled the information and last year’s calendar raised $6,900 for local charities.

Race News

The Little River Trail Races will be previewed Dec. 15 at 8 a.m. in Rougemont. Races are Jan. 11.

Two popular February race dates in Raleigh are the Feb. 1 Krispy Kreme Challenge (run 2.5m, eat donuts, run 2.5m) and the Feb. 16 Run for the Roses 5K where each female finisher receives a rose.
