DeOliveira Saka (27:47) of Carrboro was first 25-29 at the Biltmore Classic 5K in Asheville. WT was 19:53. Mc­Gregor Maddock of Hillsborough (1:19:34) was first 19&U in the 15K. WT was 57:46. There were 599 runners in the two races.

Jane McDaniel, Chapel Hill, third 35-39, 1:52:21, at Run the South HM (444) in Charlotte. WT was 1:15:31.

Catherine Sampey of Hillsborough was first 50-54 at Beaufort Historic Rotary 10K (102 finishers) in 59:24. WT was 43:31.

Richard O’Brien (1:27:21) of Chapel Hill was first 45-49 at RAD HM in Asheville (579). WT was 1:26:41.

Martha Hamblin (34:52) of Mebane was third 70-74 at Greensboro Distilling Co. Speakeasy 5K in Greensboro (601 finishers). WWT was 20:18.

The 4th Children’s Home XC Festival takes place Sep. 26 in Oxford with 11 races including youth, middle school, high school and collegiate divisions. The June 27 Run for Liberty 5K in Cary was canceled.
