Orange County Senior Games offers athletic and SilverArts competition for men/women over age 50 March 20-April 16. Entry deadline is March 7 and costs $25. Save $5 and register by early bird deadline Feb. 28. Athletes and artists can sign up at ncseniorgames.org/orange. Entry forms are available at area senior centers and rec departments.
Sports range from archery to pickleball, swimming, track & field for age group competition at local venues. Bowling and golf have additional costs. Heritage, visual, performing arts, cheerleading have their own divisions in SilverArts. Medalists at the county level qualify for the State Finals in the fall in the Raleigh area.
