Orange County families will have to travel to Apex or Durham for stargazing activities at Star Parties April 24, part of 2026 NC Sci Fest. There are no star watching events in Chapel Hill or Hillsborough.
In Apex, stargazing will be held at the American Tobacco Trail at White Oak parking lot 6-9:30 p.m., while West Point on the Eno, Durham city park, has stargazing 8-11:30 p.m. and at Eno River State Park on Cole Mill Road, 7:30-9 p.m. Programs are free and don’t require registration. They are all part of N.C. Scifest April 1-30 across the state.
