Turkey Day Results

Yohei Hisada (30:39) of Chapel Hill was first 35-39 at IOS Turkey Trot 8K in Cary (619 finishers, down from 701 in 2023). WT was 26:18.

Alex Maier (13:41) of Chapel Hill was first male at TROSA 5K in Durham (859 finishers, up from 785 last year). Karsten Heim was third 15-19, 17:10, Jake Grdaolnik, third 20-24, 17:57.

Alex Hill (18:03) of Hillsborough was third male at Fleet Feet Thanksgiving 5K in Durham (575 finishers, down from 639). WT was 17:42. Chapel Hill age group winners: Megan Lesesky, 12&U, 25:30; Katrine Nunez, 20-24, 21:38; Jenni­fer Gutierrez, 40-44, 26:33; Ed Cooner, 55-59, 24:37; Theresa Reece, 65-69, 30:54.

In the 8K (114 finishers, down from 164), WTs were 30:06 and 32:26. Local age group winners were Samuel Kurz, Carrboro, 13-19,  34:03; Lindsey Maslow, 35-39, 41:13; John Heetderks, 45-49, 39:17; Cesar Palacios, 50-54, 36:51.

The Skinny Turkey HM in Raleigh was canceled due to weather issues and runners shifted to the 10K (349).

M. Putnam (22:38) of Chapel Hill was third 19&U at Tro­phy Trot 5K in Raleigh (1,916, up from 1,657 in 2023).

Allison Paul (26:18) of Hillsborough was second 50-54 at Running of the Turkeys 3.5m in Greensboro (919 finishers). WT was 20:55.
