UNC F Kate Faasse won the MAC Hermann Trophy given to the best D-1 college soccer player. The award was based on voting by coaches and presented at a banquet in St. Louis. She is the eighth UNC player to win the award and the first since 2020. Faasse had 20 goals for the NCAA championship team including four in the postseason.
Faasse and teammate Maddie Dahlien were invited to the U.S. women’s national team 2025 Futures Camp this month in Florida. The camp originally was scheduled for California but was moved due to the wildfires. Some 24 players were called up.
